Adobe Commerce is coming with new product

The major shopping season of the year is coming, and many online businesses are expecting a lot of clients to come in. That’s why it’s very important to prepare your store for more orders, special offers, and a variety of new campaigns designed to draw customers to your store. However, implementing even better store security is crucial, even if there are so many things to focus on during the season. It’s a very good idea to update your software and also review the current security plans.

Thankfully, Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce come with their fair share of new security updates. The new 2.3.7.- p2 and 2.4.3-p1 versions are great since they can help enhance your security and ensure that your store is safer than ever before for all your potential customers. On top of that, Magento is changing the way they are managing session IDs. This is important since it helps stop unauthorized users from performing actions they were not supposed to.

Additionally, there will be restricted admin access to all the folders related to the media gallery. This was added because sometimes people were deleting the .htaccess files. Magento has also lowered the GraphQL query threshold in order to avoid any DOS attacks. The new update is also bringing custom variable validation so any problematic HTML attributes and tags are prevented properly.

Product Announcements for Q4

Adobe Sensei product recommendations

Product Recommendations is coming with multiple improvements. Any of the Merchants that use the Adobe Experience Manager, Vue.js, or React can start using the Product Recommendation feature from Adobe Commerce on their website. The update is also bringing in some new recommendation units. These are designed to showcase any of the newly viewed products, alongside conversion rates for view to cart and view to purchasing ratios. This is great for merchants because it’s a good insight into what’s on-demand and what can generate a lot more sales. There’s also new B2B website support, with specialized prices and catalogs specific to every customer.

Asynchronous processing for orders

Adobe Commerce cart and checkout functionalities are improved too. These are designed specifically for those customers that have requirements at a larger scale. There needs to be some comprehensive setup, but the configuration can allow things like asynchronous processing for orders. What this does is enhance the amount of line items in the cart. It also brings in a better order throughput as well. The feature will be available in December, right now it’s still in beta at the time of this writing.

Payment services

Towards the end of the year, Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce will have their own payment services. This is an important solution because merchants can easily access a dedicated, professional, and robust payment solution. This is available from the product admin and you can manage it without any worries. It’s a new addition that has been on demand for a very long time, and now it’s finally coming to fruition.

Progressive web apps

PWA Studio 12 just released, and now you don’t have to worry about pages loading very slowly. Additionally, Magento is adding a shimmer effect whose focus is to bring some animation to the loading elements. It makes the user experience better, while also giving a good idea of the customer regarding what will arrive after the entire content is loaded.

The new release also provides a new “add to cart” button for the category listing page. It’s designed to boost the purchase flow, while also boosting conversions naturally. According to Google Lighthouse, PWA Studio 12 is also enhancing the SEO score and it shows best practices that you can follow for the best results.

Adobe Sensei Live Search

Live Search receives a new update too. The main focus here is the reindexing times, which are reduced quite a lot. Additionally, the catalog onboarding is also a lot quicker. The main benefit is that search results are featuring all the latest product data. Moreover, Magento has made sure that the search process is more relevant since they integrated partial word search.

There’s still full word search, but partial word search was needed in order to bring more accuracy while making the search more relevant. There will also be Live Search Reporting in late Q4 as well. This function shows results based on unique or top searches.

You can learn more from the Security Bulletin and release notes for the 2.3.7-p2 and 2.4.3-p1 release notes. There was a beta release for version 2.4.4 late October. It’s important to sign up to the Beta Program from Magento, but keep in mind that this is only available to partners. Once you join the program, you will be able to test the new features and share feedback.

Conclusion

Our team recommends you analyze and study the new release a bit, just to ensure that you are not upgrading without knowing any possible problems. Still, these upgrades seem very exciting, and they are bound to provide some rather incredible results, especially when it comes to features that have been widely sought after for a long time!
